City Wide Auto Glass wasn’t founded from a business plan—it was built inside Houston’s service bays, collision centers, and warranty departments long before it ever had a name.
Our story begins in the early 1980s, when our founder started doing glass work at a close friend’s family collision center. What began as helping out quickly became a career. After moving to Houston in the mid-80s, he spent the next two decades inside dealership service departments and collision centers across the city—switching between them as needed and becoming the “glass guy” every shop relied on.
By the late 1990s, he had earned the title of Master Technician at Ford, yet dealerships still preferred to use him for all their glass work instead of calling outside vendors. His combination of deep mechanical knowledge, precision workmanship, and understanding of dealer operations made him uniquely valuable.
From Technician to the Trusted Glass Partner for Houston Dealers
In 2002, he made the leap—leaving the dealership world to go full-time into auto glass. But he didn’t start from scratch.
He built City Wide Auto Glass by leveraging decades of trusted relationships inside Houston’s franchise dealerships and collision centers. Our earliest partners made us their sole glass provider because they already knew the quality of the work and the efficiency he brought to their operations.
